The increasing use of e-mail as a method of communication with customers, made the email system that Budget was using a mission critical application. It was felt that their existing application and infrastructure was not providing the resilience and availability that their business required.

Initial Customer Set up
Logicalis had upgraded Budget Insurance's iSeries installations and there was now spare capacity on the new development machine to act as a Web server and handle all email traffic. According to Anthony Gould, IT Operations Manager: "We looked at three potential email solutions and Logicalis organised a trial with Lotus Notes Domino running on our new machine."
