IPT Solution from Logicalis streamlines consultancy's work-style
Logicalis Network Solutions (LNS), an international provider of high-performance IT integration solutions, has secured an IP Telephony (IPT) implementation at global business strategy consultancy, Arthur D Little (ADL), to increase functionality and remote working capabilities across their London and Cambridge sites.
Gavin Horner, TIME Consultant (Telecoms, IT, Media & Electronics) at ADL, comments; "First and foremost we needed to replace two existing legacy systems with an integrated, secure, intelligent solution that will give us the functionality to meet our business requirements, for example, remote working. As an expanding company we had acquired larger premises for our London office, so it was the ideal time to evaluate and consider a centralised solution. Secondly, it needed to be future-proof and flexible. Finally, we were looking for cost savings - we did the sums and found payback over our existing system within a couple of years and significant ongoing economies on call traffic."
Logicalis has proposed a fully converged IPT solution based on Cisco's CallManager platform. This creates a ‘one-number' environment enabling consultants to hot-desk between sites and work remotely, whilst maintaining the same DDI telephone number wherever they are. Consultants are also able to access the corporate directory and messaging systems at all times, thereby increasing day-to-day efficiency and productivity.
