ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY SEALS IT DEAL WITH LOGICALIS
Anglia Ruskin University has partnered with Logicalis, Cisco's UK Gold Partner and European Services Partner of the Year, to develop the University's technical environment over the next three years.
To ensure that the key needs of the University are met the initial project included a Strategic Review of the whole Communications & IT Support Services (C&ITS) infrastructure, which is required to deliver support to all stakeholders; students, staff and associates. Specialist support from Qedis, a strategic consulting company, was also involved in developing the strategy, which sets the agenda for the next five years.
Implementing this comprehensive programme will involve a range of projects. Initially Logicalis will undertake an overhaul of the core data networks and security on both campuses, followed by improved campus and halls of residence wireless coverage and the completion of the network upgrade.
Said Anglia Ruskin University's Director of IT Systems and Strategy, Ajay Burlingham-Böhr: ‘The University has an ambitious programme of expansion and development and the renewal and improvement of our IT infrastructure is critical to the roll out of this programme.'
