Welcome to the third issue of  NewsBox, our newsletter that keeps you up-to-date with the fast pace of progress at Logicalis and across the industry.  In this issue we are focussing on that most challenging of business management issues – that of minimising Risk. 

We believe it is time to reassess the way organisations deal with Risk – whether it involves their people, their infrastructure, their environment or other factors – and to see it as less of a threat but much more of an opportunity.

We describe new approaches that can significantly lower system complexity to increase agility, efficiency and performance as a route to decreasing organisational Risk.  At the same time, we describe how this has the potential to influence another pressing issue - that of lowering every organisation’s carbon footprint.  All of this whilst ensuring that continuity - an organisation’s ability to continue serving its customers and stakeholders - is maintained.  In doing so, we overturn many of the assumptions in terms of threats and their resolution that have been made traditionally, about dealing with this thorny issue.

At Logicalis we never stand still, as we build our business to deliver an end-to-end converged Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capability and managed services to our customers.  We’ve recently re-organised our business, under a single management team.  Tom Kelly, formerly Managing Director of the Logicalis Networking Services business takes over as Managing Director of a merged Logicalis UK operation whilst Steve Ellis, formerly Managing Director of the Logicalis Computing Services business takes the newly created position of Senior VP International Development, to focus on development and acquisition across Europe.

On that note, we also bring you news of a Gold Partnership agreement with Microsoft which adds Microsoft as our fifth strategic partner alongside BT, Cisco, HP and IBM, and highlight our latest investments and acquisitions in Germany and America.
